Technical Visit Program
JEMI holds regular technical meetings throughout the year at venues of particular interest to members. These meetings generally consist of presentations by the host organisation, a tour of their facilities and presentations from JEMI members and industry experts. Updates on government funding and collaborative programmes with universities and the progress of JEMI activities such as lobbying are regular features.
The visits are an excellent opportunity for the engineering community to engage with the supply base; promoting innovation, problem solving, cost reductions and networking.

JEMI aims to raise the profile of the whole industrial niche of manufacture of equipment and materials for semiconductors in the UK. Via membership of the boards of international programmes e.g. participation in EC and UK government schemes such as MEDEA and the UK Cabinet Office technology foresight programme, JEMI can influence policy and tactical decision-making of government bodies favourably. Lobbying of UK and EEC Government and their agencies is also a key part of JEMI Activities.
